Applicable Egyptian rules recognize several potential lawful bases for processing, including consent, contractual necessity, legal obligations and certain legitimate interests subject to applicable conditions.

3. WhatsApp, SMS and Email

We may use WhatsApp, SMS, email and push notifications to deliver verification codes and service-related communications.

Where required, marketing communications will only be sent with an appropriate legal basis and users will be provided with mechanisms to withdraw consent or opt out.

4. Sharing of Information

We may share information where necessary with service providers supporting Storly, including:

  • Cloud and hosting providers.

  • Payment providers.

  • Shipping and logistics providers.

  • WhatsApp/Meta and communication providers.

  • Analytics and security providers.

  • Other technology providers required to operate the Platform.

We may also disclose information where required by applicable law or a valid legal request.

We do not sell personal information merely for third parties’ independent advertising purposes.

5. Merchant Stores

Merchants using Storly may independently collect and process information concerning their customers.

Depending on the circumstances, the merchant may have its own legal obligations regarding that data. Merchants should therefore provide customers with appropriate privacy information for their individual stores where required.

6. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including providing services, maintaining business and transaction records, resolving disputes, preventing fraud and satisfying legal requirements.

Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information and applicable obligations.

7. Data Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, loss or destruction.

However, no internet-based system can guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, individuals may have rights relating to their personal data, including access, correction, updating, deletion, restriction of certain processing and withdrawal of consent where processing relies on consent.

Some service providers used by Storly may process information outside Egypt.
